As a Registered Trust, the Manav Samaj Setu Foundation relies on voluntary contributions to rapidly execute charitable relief programs. Because funds are often immediately deployed for community welfare, our policies regarding financial reversals are strictly defined.
1. No Refund Principle
The official policy of the Manav Samaj Setu Foundation is that all donations and volunteer membership payments are generally non-refundable. Once a transaction is processed and the funds are allocated to our charitable objectives, they cannot be reversed.
2. Exceptional Review Cases
While the No Refund Principle stands firm, we acknowledge that rare technological or administrative errors can occur. In such extraordinary circumstances, the Foundation may agree to review a refund request solely at its own discretion.
3. Duplicate Transactions
If a donor's bank account or credit card is accidentally charged multiple times for a single intended donation due to a technical glitch, we will review the case to reverse the duplicate deduction.
4. Technical Payment Errors
In instances where a transaction fails on the user's end but the funds are successfully debited and credited to our account without a corresponding system record, the donor may request an investigation.
5. Verification Process
To initiate a review for an exceptional case, the donor must submit a formal request within 48 hours of the transaction. The request must include the transaction ID, proof of deduction (such as a bank statement), and a clear explanation of the error.
6. Foundation Decision Authority
All refund requests are subject to rigorous verification by our financial team. The Foundation holds the ultimate decision authority on whether a refund is granted. If approved, the reversal may take 7-14 business days to reflect in the original payment method.
